The chapter ends with the realization that those who serve God will never be spiritually hungry because He will provide their needs and wipe away all of their tears. It showed that the redeemed served God while the elders ruled with Him. Those who were chosen accumulate in great numbers and they join the angels and elders in their adoration of God.Īn exchange with an elder shows John that those who were redeemed during the Tribulation stand separate from the church. These 12 tribes bring people to Jesus while the Tribulation is in progress. The 144,000 were divided into 12 tribes of 12,000 each. He said that these people would be saved to take forth the message of Jesus being the Messiah. John then explained that the 144,000 individuals were sealed and it he confirmed that they are Jewish. John saw this as a call to seal some people prior to the Tribulation. A fifth angel appeared and told the first four that they, in fact, had the ability to harm the sea and earth if they chose to do so. They seemed to be holding back the wind as a means to protect the earth. «JudeĪt the beginning of Revelation Chapter 7, John told of how he saw four angels from four corners of the earth. In this chapter, John addresses the issue of who will be able to stand on the day of God’s wrath.
